NHIF DEPARTMENT
This is the department that works together with the government of Kenya through the board of National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) and Universal Health Coverage (UHC). We offer timely, affordable and quality health services through the NHIF coverage. The facility supports the Kenyan government by ensuring that everyone who visits the facility is provide with information on the NHIF coverage and its benefits in the healthcare sector.
Activities and services offered
We have two employees in the department who have sufficient knowledge on the packages that NHIF offers. To get information on your NHIF account status send a message “ID 01234567” to 21101 or by dialing 0800 720 601 toll free. The NHIF coverage services can also be accessed online on the nhifselfcare portal nhifcare.co.ke.

We also help clients with the following:
- NHIF registration
- Changing of the Out-Patient facility
- Payment processing on the NHIF card
- Conduct follow-up for phone number to be added in the card
